§ 01 — Our Approach

How We Work

Each engagement begins with a preliminary conversation — typically thirty to forty-five minutes — to establish whether the question you are working on is one our practice is well placed to assist with. This conversation carries no charge and no commitment.

If we agree to proceed, we prepare a brief written outline of the engagement: what it covers, what the deliverables are, how long it will run, and what it costs. Terms are agreed before any work begins.

All work is conducted by the principal advisor. Interviews, analysis, written output, and any closing presentation are the responsibility of the same person who agreed terms with you. There is no team assembled in the background.

Step 1

Preliminary Conversation

30–45 minutes. No charge. Establish fit and define the question.

Step 2

Written Engagement Outline

Scope, deliverables, duration, and fee — agreed before work begins.

Step 3

Engagement Conducted

Sessions, analysis, and written outputs delivered per the agreed scope.

Step 4

Closing and Handover

Final written output and, where included, a closing presentation to the leadership team.

Quarterly Practice Briefing § 02 — Service One

Quarterly Practice Briefing

A retainer arrangement, sold by the quarter, for senior teams who would value a regular outside reading of the questions they are presently working through. Each quarter we hold a half-day session with the leadership team, prepare a short written briefing on two or three matters they have asked us to look at, and remain available for short conversations through the period.

The briefing is meant to support thinking rather than replace it. Suitable for businesses that already have internal capability and want a thoughtful counterpart from time to time.

This service works well for firms that have found themselves returning to the same set of questions quarter after quarter, without quite getting to the bottom of them.

What Is Included

  • Half-day session with the leadership team, once per quarter
  • Written briefing covering two to three priority matters per quarter
  • Advisory availability for short follow-up conversations through the period
  • No implementation, no vendor referrals — advisory only

Process

  1. 01Pre-session written agenda agreed with the team
  2. 02Half-day session conducted — in person or by video call
  3. 03Written briefing prepared and delivered within two weeks of the session
  4. 04Availability for follow-up conversations through the remaining weeks of the quarter

Digital Operations Diagnostic § 03 — Service Two

Digital Operations Diagnostic

An engagement for businesses based in or around the Cyberjaya–Putrajaya corridor whose operations have grown through a patchwork of internal systems and would benefit from an outside reading of how those systems are now serving the work. Over eight weeks we map the current tooling landscape, hold conversations with the people who use the systems daily, and prepare a considered written assessment with two or three options for consolidation.

We do not implement; we leave that with the firm's preferred technology partner. Includes a closing presentation to the leadership team.

What Is Included

  • Mapping of the current tooling landscape across all major operational areas
  • Structured conversations with the staff who use the systems daily
  • Written assessment identifying friction points and consolidation options
  • Closing presentation to the leadership team at the conclusion of the eight weeks
  • Suitable for firms with five to two hundred staff operating in the corridor

Eight-Week Process

  1. Wk 1–2Initial briefing, scope confirmation, access to relevant systems documentation
  2. Wk 3–5Tooling mapping and staff interviews across operational departments
  3. Wk 6–7Assessment drafting and options development
  4. Wk 8Written output delivered; closing presentation to leadership

Technology-Adjacent Business Model Review § 04 — Service Three

Technology-Adjacent Business Model Review

A senior engagement for established companies whose business model is being affected by the gradual movement of their sector toward software-led delivery. Over four months we work with the leadership team to understand which parts of the model are being squeezed, which are being amplified, and which new commercial arrangements are becoming possible.

The output is a written model review, a short list of practical pilots the firm could consider, and a recommended cadence for revisiting the analysis as the sector continues to shift. Includes monthly conversations with the principal advisor for the duration.

This engagement is designed for firms that sense the ground shifting beneath their current model, but have not yet had the structured space to examine precisely where and how.

What Is Included

  • Monthly conversations with the principal advisor through the four-month period
  • Structured analysis of which parts of the model face pressure and which face opportunity
  • Written model review as the primary deliverable
  • Short list of practical pilots the firm could consider within the next twelve months
  • Recommended cadence for revisiting the analysis as the sector continues to evolve

Four-Month Process

  1. Month 1Scoping conversation; sector mapping and model diagnosis begins
  2. Month 2Pressure and opportunity analysis; discussion with leadership team
  3. Month 3Draft model review; pilot options developed and reviewed
  4. Month 4Final written output; recommended review cadence; closing discussion

§ 06 — Across All Services

Standards That Apply to Every Engagement

Confidentiality Agreement

Every formal engagement includes a mutual NDA. Client information, discussions, and outputs are not shared with any third party.

Fixed-Fee Structure

All fees are agreed in writing before work begins. No day-rate surprises, no scope expansions without prior discussion and agreement.

Principal-Led Throughout

No subcontracting, no handoff to staff after terms are signed. The engagement is conducted by the same person who agreed to take it on.

No Vendor Relationships

We hold no commercial relationships with software vendors or implementation partners. Recommendations are formed independently.

Honest Scope Assessment

Where a question falls outside what this practice can usefully address, we say so at the preliminary conversation stage rather than after terms are agreed.

Personal Data Protection

All personal and organisational data shared during an engagement is handled in compliance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and treated with appropriate discretion.

§ 07 — Next Step

Let Us Find the Right Starting Point

A short call or a brief note is all it takes to begin. We will let you know honestly whether what you are working on fits what we do, and if so, what an engagement might look like.
